I love smoothie bowls. I used to spend so much money on them. Sooo much money. Which is why I love making them at home!
Packed with antioxidants, fiber, and healthy fats, açai bowls not only taste delicious but also provide seemingly endless benefits for your gut. The high fiber content in acai bowls promotes healthy digestion and helps maintain a balanced gut microbiome. This can lead to better nutrient absorption and overall gut function. Plus, the antioxidants in acai berries can help reduce inflammation in the gut, potentially easing symptoms of digestive issues.
Smoothie bowls are one of my go-to meals when I feel like I need something packed with stuff that’s good for me.
Here is my go-to recipe below!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup almond milk
⅓ cup frozen wild blueberries
⅓ cup frozen raspberries
2 frozen bananas, sliced
½ tbsp almond butter
1tbsp açai powder
1 tsp vanilla paste/extract (optional)
Toppings
coconut flakes
chia
sliced banana
maple syrup to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a blender, add the almond milk, banana, blueberries, almond butter and vanilla. Blend until very smooth.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl.
Top with sliced banana, coconut flakes, hemp seeds, some cacao nibs, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Thats it! Feel free to take out or add in anything you’re feeling. The beauty of bowls is they can be customized to your liking.
Hope you enjoy, happy healing :)
